Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) Lil’ Smokies sausages
- 4–5 medium red or Yukon potatoes, diced
- 1 lb (450 g) fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: fresh parsley for garnish

- Crockpot (slow cooker)
- Cutting board and knife

Instructions
- Prepare the ingredients
- Wash and dice the potatoes. Trim the green beans and chop the onion. Mince garlic.
- Layer in the crockpot
- Add potatoes to the bottom of the crockpot.
- Top with chopped onion, garlic, and green beans.
- Place Lil’ Smokies on top.
- Add seasonings and liquid
- Drizzle olive oil or butter over the ingredients. Sprinkle with paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Pour chicken broth around the edges (not directly over the sausages to avoid washing off seasoning).
- Cook
- Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until potatoes are tender and green beans are cooked but still crisp-tender.
- Serve
- Gently stir to combine before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

- For extra flavor, add a splash of soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce to the broth.
- Baby potatoes can be used whole for a rustic look.
